Custom medicine bottles filled with mints were the gift from the wedding giving a little nod to the groom’s profession

Probably my favorite detail of the wedding day was their escape that night in and Pedi-cab which was the final piece of a subtle theme on the wedding day centering around cycling. It turns out these two met while on a bike ride and they’ve been together ever since.

I’d also like to give thanks to the staff at The Old Red for coordinating this wedding day and to Astounding Sounds for the beautiful lighting and music.

This was just an open window in the bride’s room, I loved Ashley’s veil falling gently over her shoulders .

Ryan had some custom cuff links made for himself and each of his groomsmen with their initials etched into a square piece of brushed metal.

Across the street from The Old Red Courthouse is a fun city park with where this tiny wooden shack sits… the oldest courthouse in Dallas?

First look on the porch of Old Red

We really got lucky with the weather on Saturday, it was a bit windy but the sun stayed out until after midnight when the storms finally struck.

Just a minute before walking down the aisle and Ashley’s dad was telling jokes to keep things calm.

Ashley and Ryan had a friend officiate the ceremony, he did a great job but was probably as nervous as they were.

A funny moment during the ceremony as Ashley has to work a little to get the ring on Ryan’s finger.

Pedi-cab #1

I ran up the street to get this other angle during a red light… it was the last frame of the night.

Sometimes it really pays off to just wander and know that great images can be taken anywhere. We took off in an opposite direction from any of our normal stomping grounds and found some awesome industrial backdrops and even a little green oasis in the city none of us know existed as background for this shoot. After using Victory Plaza we followed Julie and Mark to the rooftop of their apartment complex for a panoramic image of Dallas, which was awesome!

Julie and Mark are so much fun to be around, up for anything and totally game for a laugh, it was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.We loved spending time with them to make these images.

A very big thank you to Amanda at Sarabeth Events for bringing Kristin and Brandon our way and the team she brought together for entertainment and decor was brilliant. Antebellum Designs turned the reception room into a gorgeous mix of blue hues and candlelight also bringing along with lots of thoughtful touches like mini chalkboards used to mark guests’ seats. The always amazing team at Elan Makeup did the ladies up and Panini did two beautiful cakes.

In all a very perfect wedding day in a simply stunning space.
